Library Hours

Tuesday  9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.  Grades 3, K, 7, 8

Wednesday  8:00 a.m. – 10:30 p.m. Grades 4, 5, 6

Thursday  1:00 p.m. – 2:40 p.m.  Grades 1, 2

The library is not open Mondays and Fridays. You are welcome to stop in whenever the door is open and someone is available to help you.

Book Fairs

The library hosts 2 book fairs each year.

The first is a Scholastic Book Fair held in the library at the end of the first quarter. Students and parents may purchase books (mostly paperbacks) for themselves at this event. Parents may also donate a book to the classroom or select a Christmas gift from the classroom wish list. Scholastic shares a percentage of the profits with us. We have used the proceeds for classroom materials, science videos, reference materials and library furnishings.

The second event is the Parent Book Fair, held at the January Parent Meeting.  This is an opportunity to sponsor a book that we have chosen for our collection.  The book will bear a dedication label with the donor’s name. Each year we add about 200 new and noteworthy books to our collection through sponsorship.

Donations

We gladly accept donations of age appropriate paperbacks and hardbacks, in good condition. Just send in the materials with your child or leave them in the office with a note.

Fines

Fines are 10 cents each day the book is overdue, except for absences. Overdue books are due in the library the first day the child returns from an illness. It is helpful if a note is attached, alerting us the book is late due to absence, so we can remove the fine.
